Jets Offense Stumbles, No Concern From Robert Saleh

Sometimes the best way to describe how a part of a team performed in training camp is just to keep it simple.

In that case, the New York Jets offense stunk on Monday morning.

Missed throws, turnovers, and an overall inefficient day for Aaron Rodgers and company have led to some concern about the group's offensive line and effectiveness coming off their worst practice.

Not everyone is concerned, though. In the case of head coach Robert Saleh, it only shows how elite their current defense still expects to be - even without one of their top defensive players.

"There's a top-five defense on the other side," Saleh said afterward. "Took the guys a little bit to get going, but still thought it was a good competitive practice. Guys were communicating. They're executing the way we need them to, but legs are a little heavy."

New York's defense was without top slot cornerback Michael Carter II, and edge rusher Haason Reddick as he continues his holdout.

Still, the Jets have four first-team All-Pros on their roster - more than enough to make life miserable for the Hall-of-Fame quarterback and his offensive cohorts.

It may not be much to be overly concerned with on the offensive side, but it's still great to see New York's defense continuing their elite play from the last few years.
