Jets AFC East Review: Tua Tagovailoa Rips Former Coach

Tua Tagovailoa may be one of the richest quarterbacks in the NFL now, but that doesn't mean he's forgiven everyone who has doubted him to this point.

For the New York Jets, that might actually be a good thing.

In a recent episode of the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Tagovailoa spoke in depth about Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and how he compares to his predecessor Brian Flores.

For a player like Tagovailoa, the lefty holds no love for the defensive coordinator now in Minnesota.

"To put it in simplest terms..." Tagovailoa explained. "f you woke up every morning, and I told you that you suck at what you did, that you don't belong doing what you do, that you shouldn't be here, that this guy should be here, that you haven't earned this right, and then you have somebody else come in and tell you, 'Dude, you are the best fit for this. You are accurate, you are the best whatever, you are this, you are that.' How would that make you feel, listening to one or the other? You see what I'm saying?"

Softer coaching certainly has put the Dolphins in the playoffs for each of the last two seasons, but it's also failed to win Miami a playoff game or division crown during that span.

If Tagovailoa demands softer coaching, it could lead to a physical Jets team overtaking them in the coming months for the AFC East crown.
