Alabama To Take On College Basketball Powerhouse In Charity Game

As college football is set to begin with Week 0 this week, it can also be acknowledged that basketball season is also right around the corner.

For Alabama fans, the basketball and football seasons are equally exciting and anticipated. Nate Oats helped lead the Crimson Tide to their first Final Four appearance in program history, and many are expecting the same, if not more, result this upcoming season with the returning talent and the new talent from recruiting and the transfer portal.

Big news broke early Monday afternoon that Alabama will face off against the Memphis Tigers in a charity game on October 28th. The game will take place in Huntsville, AL, just a week before Alabama's regular season opener. Nick Kelly on X provided the news .

The Rocket City Classic became an annual event held in Huntsville, Alabama in 2016. Eight years later, we are set for another anticipated preseason match with Alabama and Memphis. Last season featured Auburn matched up against UNC Asheville, where Auburn claimed a commanding win.
