It's a Girl! Jalen Brunson Becomes a Father

New York Knicks' star point guard Jalen Brunson has had a very eventful offseason, from signing a new contract, to being named as the 36th captain of the Knicks.

Now on top of all of that, he is officially a father. He and his wife, Ali, announced on Instagram today that their first child, Jordyn James Brunson, was born.

Brunson proposed to Ali back in September of 2022, and the two got married in July of last year. The wedding was a big event that was held at Chicago's Ritz-Carlton, and the Knicks guard talked to PEOPLE about how much his wife meant to him.

"She’s always been by my side and I’m lucky to have her," Brunson said. "I'm excited to celebrate this special milestone with all of our closest friends and family, who have been so supportive over the many years of our relationship. There's a lot of shared history. I'm looking forward to finally calling Ali my wife!"

Now, just over a year later, the two have welcomed their daughter into the world, and they were understandably pretty private about it.

Brunson and the rest of the Knicks will be kicking off the regular season in just over two months, and the star point guard will be looking to use his daughter as motivation.
