Ryan Williams was not the only Alabama true freshman to be named among Charles Powers and Clark Brooks' Preseason True Freshman All-American list. Another highly talented individual was also chosen as a name for fans to watch for in the 2024 season and beyond.

True freshman defensive back Zabien Brown was also named among this list by Powers and Brooks. Brown spent his time in high school with Mater Dei in Santa Ana, CA, and his development since his senior year has been very polished and is expected to transition to the college level at a rapid pace, and even play a big role in the Alabama secondary as only a freshman.

On3 provided the news of Brown's selection from Power and Brooks on X.

Power provided his insight on Brown and why he selected him among these talents.

“Zabien Brown has generated a bunch of praise dating back to the spring at Alabama and looks to be in line to play a key role in the Crimson Tides’ new look secondary in Kalen DeBoer’s first year in Tuscaloosa," Power stated.

"Zabien Brown was extremely polished and battle tested coming out of high school. He played top competition at Mater Dei and is technically advanced at this stage. We were able to see this on display at the All-American Bowl in January, where he was certainly one of the top corners on hand and really held up well against top receivers. He looks to have made a smooth transition as expected to Tuscaloosa and should be a key contributor in Alabama, within the Alabama secondary as a freshman.”
