Former Ohio State wide receiver and recent top NFL draft selection Marvin Harrison Jr. made an audacious declaration on a recent episode of "The Trenches Show."

Harrison argued that, based on his numbers and accolades, he is the greatest wide receiver in the history of the storied Ohio State program.

“I think I’m the best,” said Harrison Jr .

"If you look at the accolades — two-time receiver of the year, Big Ten Player of the Year, unanimous All-American back-to-back years — I did it all," he argued.

Harrison even responded to the argument against him that his Buckeyes teams were winless against Michigan.

"From an Ohio State standpoint, they always say, ‘Oh, you didn’t beat the team up north,’" he added. "I mean, I didn’t. I guess that’s a team kind of accomplishment."

But after those comments reached social media, both opposing fans and even some Ohio State fans took issue with Harrison's claim.

Other fans responding to that tweet just didn't see Harrison as the best in Ohio State history.

"You aren’t better than Olave lil bro," commented a user with the handle @blxrblxr.

"Not remotely, not even top 5," said an account named The Appalachian Dawg.

Several other commenters swore by Chris Carter as the No. 1 wideout in Buckeye history, and Harrison himself did admit that he couldn't say anything to disparage the fellow OSU legend.

"Obviously, talent-wise, we have some greats. Cris Carter is a Hall of Famer, I can never discredit him," said Harrison.

There's no doubt Marvin Harrison Jr. was one of the all-time talents at wide for Ohio State. Whether he or Chris Carter or any other Buckeye tops the list can be debated, but Harrison has made it clear he puts himself first.
