After playing in 13 games last season, P.J. Adebawore will be counted on much more in 2024. The former 5 star recruit enrolled at Oklahoma in January of 2023 and had three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in limited opportunities last year. You can expect to hear his name much more frequently in upcoming games and you can clearly see how excited he is to take on the challenges of a tough SEC schedule.

P.J.: I already know it’s going to be very, very physical. I know that we’re going to have to up our game in every single aspect which we’re doing right now. The pressure is there but we’re all for it.

On his biggest area of growth since Spring practice

P.J.; Just the knowledge of the game. Obviously, the more you’re around it the more knowledgeable you’re going to become. I think my work starting in the weight room and just eating to put on more weight so I’ve been able to hang around with the bigger guys.

On Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman returning to the team

P.J.: You know those guys are great, great leaders. They’ve been doing a great job leading us and I think we’re going to be really, really good. Shocker!
