Alabama has secured a critical piece of its football staff. General manager Courtney Morgan has agreed to a new three-year deal that will average around $825k per year, as first reported by Matt Zenitz, a national college football reporter for 247Sports and CBS Sports.

Zenitz says, "It’s a landmark contract that truly resets the market for people in the college front office world and serves as the latest indicator of the growing investment in college front office and personnel departments."

Morgan previously worked with Kalen DeBoer at Washington, and before that, he was Michigan's director of player personnel.

Alabama has secured the second-ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle as DeBoer and his staff have quieted any concerns over potential difficulties with recruiting in the SEC.

"Courtney Morgan has the big vision," DeBoer said on Sunday on Green Light with Chris Long . "He's great at building relationships. He loves identifying, really diving into film, and finding those diamonds in the rough. You know, he has all those skills. He just is passionate about it. He's got a big vision on how he can connect."

USC heavily pursued Morgan for a role as the president of football operations, but Alabama locked him down for the immediate future. Morgan should continue to help DeBoer build extraordinary roster talent as the Crimson Tide enters a new chapter in its storied football legacy.
