Jade Carey is one of the many Jordan Chiles fans upset by the final ruling on her Olympic bronze medal.

Chiles was asked to return her bronze medal after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) reallocated it to Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu. This decision came after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that a USA Gymnastics score inquiry was not made within the allowed one-minute window during the Floor Exercise finals.

Ultimately, Chiles was stripped of her bronze medal due to a mistake made by the Olympic judges.

Carey took to social media with a stern demand for the CAS and IOC after their initial ruling.

"Don't punish the athlete for someone else's mistake," Carey wrote on her Instagram story.

"With you all the way Jo. You are forever an olympic champion that has so much to be proud of."

The score inquiry filed by USA Gymnastics coach Cecile Landi was initially accepted by the Olympic judges, bumping Chiles' score from 13.666 to 13.766. This 0.1 score bump saw her jump two Romanian gymnasts into third place.

But following the IOC's final ruling, Chiles now drops to fifth.

Barbosu was awarded a bronze medal in a special ceremony this past Friday. Chiles reportedly has "no plans" to return her bronze as USA Gymnastics continues to fight for justice.
