Justin Herbert has returned. After being diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, the Los Angeles Chargers star had to sit for a few months. There was initially concern that Herbert might miss Week 1 of the 2024 season, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

On Monday, Herbert returned to the Chargers' practice for the first time. Free from his walking boot, Herbert participated in 7-on-7 drills. When asked about how Herbert looked in his return, new head coach Jim Harbaugh gave an encouraging response .

"It felt great," coach Jim Harbaugh said, per ESPN. "It felt like music should be playing, I thought I heard music, voices of angels maybe. It felt great."

While Herbert is unlikely to play in the preseason, the Chargers star is on track to make his return in Week 1. This will be the first game Herbert will play since December last year when he missed the last month of the season due to a broken finger.

Herbert will be learning a brand-new offense under Harbaugh. The former Michigan head coach was tapped by the Chargers as the replacement for Brandon Staley. After missing the playoffs last season, Los Angeles is looking to return to the playoffs.

The Chargers have not seen a lot of success in the playoffs in the last few years. They're hoping that with a healthy Herbert and Harbaugh's pedigree, they'll be able to challenge for the AFC crown.
