Gophers OT Ersery named preseason All-American

Minnesota Gophers senior offensive tackle Aireontae Ersery has received another preseason honor.

Monday, he was named a preseason second team All-American by the Associated Press. He is one of 19 Big Ten players to earn preseason All-American honors.

Ersery has already received quite a bit of recognition ahead of the upcoming campaign, being named one of the top-100 college football players in 2024 and featured on two award watch lists .

He's also already being considered a potential high pick in next spring's NFL Draft.

It's been quite the rise for the former three-star recruit out of Kansas City, and with a big 2024, his stock will only continue on its current trajectory.

Ersery and the Gophers are set to open the season at home against North Carolina on Aug. 29.
