Coming off of the program's best season in a decade, one SEC head coach demands that fans show up and sell out the team's Week 1 game in 2024.

That coach is Eli Drinkwitz, who believes Missouri's triumphant 2023 season and the program's skyward trajectory deserve recognition in the form of a 2024 attendance spike.

In 2023, Missouri finished the regular season 10-2, only losing to fellow top-15 clubs LSU and Georgia. The Tigers even made a New Year's Six Bowl and matched up against Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, who they shut down in a 14-3 victory. So, you can see why Drinkwitz expects full stands this fall.

"We are a top 11 program in the country coming off a Cotton Bowl win," said Drinkwitz. "In my opinion, If we don’t sell out the first game, then that shows me we aren’t where we want to be as a fan base yet. I mean, that's just the reality of it."

Strong words from a head coach to the program's fanbase.

"Don't get excited about the game in November," he continued. "I know next week versus Murray State is the most important game we have and we need to sell it out, because we need to show the rest of the country that we're serious about our program."

Drinkwitz delivered a magical season in 2023, and now he's asking for the fans' support to keep the train rolling in Columbia.

"Come watch this team, be excited about this team and embrace this team," he urged fans.

Now, we'll all just have to wait and see how that stadium looks on Aug. 31 here in just a week or so.
