For the final week of the preseason and training camp, the New York Jets will hold a joint practice with their cross-town rivals in the New York Giants.

Many organizations over the last decade have pushed to put more of an emphasis on joint practice work for their team over preseason games - the idea being a controlled practice is better to keep their team healthy over the course of a long season.

Not everyone agrees to the benefits of joint practices, though.

"Is it actually making you better than practicing against your own team? It's debatable," Aaron Rodgers said after Tuesday's practice.

While some teams have focused more on joint practice work over preseason games, the Jets have opted to sit a majority of their starters during the meaningless games - opting to rely on joint practice work to prepare them for the upcoming season ahead.

Rodgers doesn't believe all joint practices are made equal though.

New York has one of the most talented defenses in the NFL. Could they give their offense the same kind of look as the Carolina Panthers or Washington Commanders?

Vice versa for their own defense as well.

Roders may think one way, but it's become clear that the Jets think differently in this matter.

And not everything the quarterback believes will be adopted by New York.
