Where Stanford Football Ranks Among Every Team In College Football

The 2024 college football season is just days away, so it's time for final rankings and preseason predictions to be filed. The Athletic's Chris Vannini published his rankings of the 134 teams in the FBS, and Stanford ranked 87th.

Stanford was one of the lowest-ranked Power Four teams on the list, with only Purdue (No. 88), Arizona State (No. 89), Cincinnati (No. 94), and Vanderbilt (No. 95) trailing behind.

That also means the Cardinal was ranked as the worst team in the ACC - Wake Forest (No. 80), Pittsburgh (No. 83), and Virginia (No. 84) beat it out.

Expectations are not high for the Cardinal this fall, as Stanford is saddled with a win total of 3.5 games on FanDuel Sportsbook . FanDuel also gives Stanford the longest odds of any team to win the ACC, currently priced at +50000.

Head coach Troy Taylor has a lot of work to do as he enters his second season with the program, and as Stanford prepares for life in a new conference, it's not expected to find immediate success.
