Matt Leinart Used Two Words To Congratulate USC Quarterback Miller Moss On His Recent Accomplishment

Matt Leinart won the Heisman Trophy with USC football in 2004, a testament to the left-handed former first round NFL pick's incredible career in Los Angeles with the Trojans.

The 2024-2025 college football season could be the most important one for the Trojans in several years, with the team entering the Big Ten Conference for the first time ever.

USC football will let its Big Ten title hopes rest on the right arm of Miller Moss, who led the team to a Holiday Bowl victory over Louisville this past December.

On Tuesday, Leinart shared an exuberant message for Moss as he prepares to lead the 23rd ranked USC Trojans into battle for their Sunday, September 1 season opener in Las Vegas vs. the 13th-ranked LSU Tigers.

"Congrats buddy!" Leinart said to Moss in his Instagram post. Miller was named the team's starting quarterback on Sunday.

Moss, a junior, has yet to throw for more than 309 yards in a season, his final total last season. A former four-star quarterback out of Bishop Alemany in Mission Hills, California, Moss has many of the hallmarks of a Heisman finalist caliber Trojans quarterback, including athleticism, a quick release, and a strong pocket presence.

A win over LSU in Week One could vault him up the charts as one of the top quarterback prospects in the country.

From there, Miller has a chance to make a big splash in the Big Ten Conference with a September 21 road game vs. Michigan, a September 28 home date vs. Wisconsin and October 12 home date vs. Penn State all on the schedule.

Suffice it to say, college football fans, and especially Big Ten fans, will learn an awful lot about Moss's abilities by the time the second month of the season rolls around.
