Jayson Tatum's Postgame Exchange With WNBA Star Is Turning Heads

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum was recently in attendance for the WNBA's first-ever game at TD Garden, witnessing a matchup between the Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks.

Following the Sun's 69-61 victory over the Sparks, Tatum took a picture with Connecticut star DiJonai Carrington.

Given the fandom of both players, his photo with the WNBA star caused tremendous online traction.

Many NBA and WNBA fans believe Tatum's attendance for the historic game at TD Garden was "amazing" since he made the time to show support for women's basketball.

According to ESPN statistics, the final attendance count featured 19,125 fans.

Tatum is fresh off winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He played a limited role with the squad, but the 26-year-old added to his lengthy basketball resume.

He's now a two-time Olympic gold medalist, NBA champion, five-time All-Star, and three-time All-NBA First Team member.

Tatum was pictured with one of the best players in the WNBA. Carrington has cemented herself as a Defensive Player of the Year candidate during the 2024 season, currently averaging 12.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.
