Huskers WR Isaiah Neyor named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose watch list

New Nebraska Cornhuskers wide receiver Isaiah Neyor has landed on a watch list for an Division I award.

The 6-foot-4 senior was named Wednesday to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list.

The award is given annually to the top offensive player in D-I football who also shows great integrity, sportsmanship, community and determination to overcome injury.

Neyor spent the past two seasons at Texas, where he was limited to just one game due to injuries. Before that, he was an All-Mountain West selection at Wyoming.

The news comes the same day Neyor and eight other Huskers were named to a watch list for the Senior Bowl.

The Huskers hope that Neyor will greatly help improve their passing game after struggling to a 129th-ranked finish in that statistical category last year.

Neyor and Nebraska will kick off the new season on Aug. 31 against UTEP.
