Mike Florio's Turning Heads With Shocking Patrick Mahomes Comparison

Comparing anyone to Patrick Mahomes is kind of absurd, but Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk didn't hesitate when he appeared on the Pat McAfee Show Wednesday.

Mahomes is a generational talent and shows that every single time he steps on the football field. Currently a three-time Super Bowl champion, two-time MVP, and coming off back-to-back Super Bowl victories, he is now looking for his third straight, which no team has ever done.

However, despite an extremely minimal sample size, Florio believes Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams resembles Mahomes game in many different facets.

"I've been saying for years that Patrick Mahomes is going to revolutionize the way the position is played because young kids are going to see how he plays and emulate him. [Caleb Williams] is playing the position like Mahomes plays it. The movement, the throws, the ability to create extra time. This stuff is incredible, and you could just put 15 in red in place of Williams for these past few plays, and it's the same guy." Florio said.

Williams has made some incredible plays and throws, but he has also taken snaps against backup and vanilla defenses who are not showing anything to the opposition in preseason. Which deserves to be factored in.

His skill level is imminent, and his ability to do so much with his legs and arm will put him in position to be extremely successful, but Mahomes has been there and done it. He's been through the highs and the lows despite not having many lows. The comparisons are warranted to point out, but Williams still has a long way to go.
