Tight End
Luka Gilbert, 6-foot-7, 240 pounds, West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West
Committed April 8, 2024
Highest Ranking : A consensus 4-star recruit, ESPN has his highest ranking at #254 overall .
2023 Statistics: N/A
Brock Schott, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Leo (Ind.) High School
Highest Ranking : Another consensus 4-star tight end, 247 Sports has him as the nation’s 145th recruit .
2023 Statistics From MaxPreps : 35 receptions, 743 yards, a 21.2 average, and 6 touchdowns.
Position Overview : Miami will bring in Tight end skill sets that complement one another. To that point, Mario Cristobal wants to continue the theme of being a power football team and signing two prospects with the size and athleticism of Gilbert and Schott bodes well for the future.
Offensive Line
SJ Alofaituli, 6-foot-2, 295 pounds, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman
Committed on July 5, 2024
Highest Ranking : ESPN has Alofaituli a 5-star, the nation’s #10 prospect, and top interior offensive lineman.
Max Buchanan, 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, Sanford (Fla.) Seminole
Committed June 26, 2024
Recruiting Ranking : Rivals ranks Buchanan as the nation’s 134th player and 4th interior offensive line recruit.
Demetrius Campbell, 6-foot-6, 305 pounds, Orlando (Fla.) Christian Prep
Committed June 18, 2024
Highest Ranking : Consensus 3-star with ESPN placing Campbell as the 67th offensive tackle in the nation.
Highest Ranking : A 3-star prospect with On3 placing him at #88 at offensive tackle.
Position Overview : Miami will sign five prep offensive linemen, with a good balance of offensive tackles and interior prospects. Prospects like Alofaituli and Buchanan earn higher recruiting marks now but the other three recruits are not as well known. Considering Alex Mirabal does a tremendous job with development, this five-man group should be successful for UM.
