Caleb Williams Makes Painful Admission About Playing Against Utah

During his college career, the NFL's No. 1 overall pick and Chicago Bears starting quarterback, Caleb Williams, never beat Utah.

Whether it be in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas or Los Angeles, the Utes had his number. In a recent appearance on "Pardon My Take," the former Trojan talked about just how frustrating it was never to beat them. To make matters worse, there seemed to be something about playing the Utes at night that also puzzled him.

When asked by Big Cat if he felt like there was a difference when it went from day to night against Utah, Williams initially just took a deep breath as if he was saying to himself, "Here we go again." Williams then expressed just how difficult it was to take down the Utes, and how he still wasn't sure how they lost all of the meetings against Utah.

"Well we started in the day, ended in the night. We had two of them. That crowd was actually an awesome crowd," Williams said when talking about the effect night games have on the atmosphere. "Loved the stadium, loved the crowd, but man I mean I don't know how we didn't win any of them," Williams said. "Pac 12 after dark, yeah it was tough."

Rice-Eccles Stadium is known to have an electric atmosphere among Pac-12 programs but is relatively unknown to the outer sphere of college football fanbases. While day games still possess an intimidating atmosphere, night games are where the crowd's electricity is at its peak, and fans are chomping at the bit to be a part of making the experience so special once again this season.
