The Cleveland Browns went out and made a splash trade this offseason, acquiring former Alabama Crimson Tide and Denver Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy in exchange for a fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick.

Browns general manager Andrew Berry is desperately trying to find a receiver corps for star quarterback Deshaun Watson in 2024, a pivotal season for the team and the signal caller.

But it takes more than just talent for a quarterback and wideout to be successful together. Some of the greatest combinations in the history of the league are based on chemistry.

And that's something Jeudy thinks he's developing with Watson this offseason since arriving in Cleveland.

"It's about communication," Jeudy said on his developing chemistry with Watson. "We stay communicating with each other. I pick his brain a little bit, where he wants me to be in certain routes, in certain situations. And I consistently ask him questions, what he thinks about my route. I think that's the biggest thing since I haven't had much repetition on the field."

Jeudy missed the first part of offseason workouts and did not practice fully until Aug. 4 as he was still recovering from a hamstring injury suffered last season.

For Watson, a good showing is important this season after two consecutive years of playing just six games each due to injury and suspensions. Browns fans are anxious to see him connect with Jeudy and fellow wideout Amari Cooper this season.
