Tyron Smith has been one of the elite tackles in the NFL now for over a decade.

With the New York Jets, he's been more than just that, though.

Leading the way for a veteran offensive line for Gang Green, Smith is looking to turn around the organization's poor luck of inconsistent offensive line.

It helps that the Jets have a four-time NFL MVP in Aaron Rodgers as the starting quarterback. Especially when it comes to making calls for incoming blitzes and overall defenses.

"He's just one of the greats out there and we're just trying to do our best to keep up with the man," Smith said of Rodgers at practice.

Smith has been a top tackle in the league for the last 13 seasons. He provides the leadership and experience needed to dominate at a high level while also nurturing the likes of 11th overall pick Olu Fashanu.

Rodgers' impact on the roster has been evident as much as last season. New York has transformed from miserable losers to one of the more talented rosters on paper.

Now putting up wins is the only thing left to do.

And with Smith as the left tackle, the offensive line appears to be in a strong situation overall.
