Josh on Keon: ‘Made for Buffalo’

With the Buffalo Bills preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers fast approaching, quarterback Josh Allen continues to develop a solid relationship with rookie receiver Keon Coleman.

Though the team still faces an uphill battle in replacing the productivity of receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, both Allen and Coleman are forming a connection which is bound to delight Bills fans this season — one which the Bills’ All Pro quarterback believes will endear him to the city for many years to come.

Since being selected No. 33 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, Coleman’s arrival is already causing significant excitement throughout the fanbase. Accordingly, fans and media alike project him to be Allen’s top receiver by season’s end. Last season for the Florida State Seminoles, he earned 50 catches for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 6-4, 215-pounder has good size with quickness, athleticism, and exceptional ball skills.

Still, Coleman’s unique and genuine personality has made him a fan favorite in short order. Whether it be his love for cookies or his fashion-favorite yellow parkas, the 21-year-old is making himself at home in western New York.

Fortunately for Bills fans, Coleman has looked just as comfortable on the field. Though some previously questioned whether his size or speed could impede his ability to get separation at the pro level, Coleman moves well for a big wideout and presents size-mismatch problems for opposing defensive backs. The former Seminole already turned in a handful of aesthetically-pleasing plays during camp — a point certainly not lost on his quarterback.

Allen and Coleman are expected to be in uniform when the Bills host the Panthers for their final preseason game at 1 p.m. on Saturday from Highmark Stadium.
