Former Heisman winning quarterback Robert Griffin III shared some praise for Bo Nix on Twitter following the Broncos' decision to start the rookie on Wednesday.

Griffin thinks Nix undoubtedly deserves the role.

"Bo Nix EARNED the starting job for the Broncos," Griffin wrote. "He did it with consistency in his footwork, accuracy and THE WAY HE LEADS."

By emphasizing the words "earned" and "the way he leads," Griffin made his support for the former Duck clear. He enjoys the way Nix carries himself both on and off the field, which he made clear to his more-than 2.2 million followers.

"A transfer portal (quarterback) who saw everything in the SEC and Pac-12 could show him, is the first Broncos (quarterback) to start week one since John Elway," Griffin wrote. "YOU LOVE TO SEE IT."

Again, Griffin's decision to use all caps while writing "you love to see it" makes his support toward Nix clear. In fact, the former Baylor quarterback added another layer of praise on Thursday morning.

"(I've been saying) that Bo Nix and Sean Payton were a perfect fit before it was popular to say it," Griffin wrote, quoting an old film breakdown of Nix from April.

In the breakdown, Griffin highlight's Nix's decision-making ability while suggesting he would be a perfect fit for a Payton offense. Now, Griffin's vision has turned to reality.

Nix and the Broncos will be in action again on Sunday, August 25 when they host the Cardinals in their final preseason game of 2024. The official season-opener for Denver is set for Sunday, September 8 as the Broncos travel to take on the Seattle Seahawks.
