Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese entered the WNBA's break for the Summer Olympics as the only rookie averaging a double-double. Despite a historic start to her rookie season, she's shown signs of improvement throughout the past few games.

Since returning from the break about a week ago, Reese has been putting on a show.

In Chicago's 85-65 loss to the Phoenix Mercury, the Sky's first game back from the break, Reese posted 11 points and 15 rebounds.

She then helped the Sky defeat the Los Angeles Sparks 90-86, notching 14 points and 11 rebounds.

In Chicago's most recent game, Angel Reese recorded 19 points and 20 rebounds in an 86-68 loss to the Mercury.

WNBA fans have been in awe of the rookie's talent all season, and one of those who have been vocal about their support for Reese has been former United States women's soccer player Megan Rapinoe.

She was recently on a podcast called "A Touch More" with Sue Bird. While speaking about the Chicago Sky Rapinoe mentioned that Reese has been "ballin."

"She's putting up these old Kevin Love numbers," Rapinoe said. "Let's go. Giving you 19 and 20... Ballin."

Rapinoe may not have played women's basketball in the past, but she's a widely respected figure in women's sports.

During her time with the United States women's national team, Rapinoe helped the U.S. secure one gold medal in the London Olympic Games and a bronze medal in the Tokyo Games.

Rapinoe is surely right about Reese's recent track record.

The rookie has been on fire as of late, bumping her season averages to 13.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game.

She's helped put the Sky in playoff position, with Chicago standing as the No. 8 team in the WNBA rankings with an 11-16 record.
