Major headlines swept the feed of all social media on Thursday morning.

Head coach of Miami (OH), Chuck Martin, was interviewed during practice and the topic of their former kicker Graham Nicholson, who transferred to Alabama in April.

Coach Martin would quickly interrupt and throw accusations toward Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide, saying they 'illegally' tampered with Nicholson prior to his entry to the portal. You can view the heated conversation below, provided by Sidelines - Bama on X .

"We didn't lose him, he's at Alabama," said Martin. "We know exactly where he is at... Alabama stole our kicker. They illegally recruited our kicker and stole him from us, and that's a fact."

These are serious allegations from the former team that Nicholson played for.

Nicholson is considered the No. 1 kicker in the country, and is a Lou Groza award winner. To replace Will Reichard is near impossible, but the addition of Nicholson may be just what Alabama needed.

The responses from this allegation has sent the X world into a frenzy, and some are not holding back on the Miami (OH) head coach.

However, it's not just the fans who are weighing in, coach DeBoer was questioned about the allegations early Thursday afternoon. Sidelines - Bama also provided the clip of DeBoer's response.

DeBoer offered a perfect response towards the allegations.

"He entered the transfer portal and we reached out to him," DeBoer states. "That's how it goes, right? We did everything we were supposed to."

This is a massive story developing on whether these allegations hold any weight. No proof has been presented, and no investigation has yet taken place.

However, this isn't the first time DeBoer was accused of tampering with a player who hadn't yet entered the transfer portal. He faced a similar situation regarding Arizona's quarterback Noah Fifita, whose father later shut down the rumors as false.

It's not a situation most Alabama fans expected to be before the season starts. But key takeaways from these current allegations are: no proof.

To be realistic, though, since the establishment of the NIL and the transfer portal rules becoming easier for players, it can be concluded that tampering happens more than ever in college athletics, which many fans believe is negatively impacting the beloved sport.

As mentioned, no proof has been presented nor has the NCAA taken any action as of yet. We will provide swift updates if this situation becomes more elevated.
