The Carolina Panthers received encouraging news regarding their offensive line, as swing tackle Yosh Nijman returned to practice on Thursday. Nijman, who joined the Panthers in March, cleared his physical after practice on Thursday, signaling a significant step in his recovery from a leg injury that has kept him off the field.

Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 314 pounds, Nijman missed the entire offseason and training camp while rehabbing his injury. His return marks a turning point, as he can now begin to participate in on-field activities. Head coach Dave Canales expressed his satisfaction with Nijman's progress, “Not activated yet, but really encouraged by his movement, his athleticism, his power, all the things we saw, the reason he's here. He looks like he's trending in the right direction, but again, it's like now it's a matter of volume, you know, just continuing to push the volume of what he can handle. So I was really excited,” Canales stated.

Nijman brings valuable experience to the Panthers, having played in 67 NFL games with 22 starts during his four years with the Green Bay Packers. His presence adds much-needed depth to a Panthers offensive line that has undergone numerous changes this offseason. While it's still uncertain if Nijman will see action in the upcoming preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, his return is a positive development for a team aiming to improve its line protection.
