NBA Superstar's Intense Workout With Navy SEAL Turning Heads

Alright, let's dive into this Damian Lillard story because there's a lot to unpack here. By now, it's no secret that he wasn't in peak form when Lillard was dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks in that massive trade with the Portland Trailblazers last offseason.

But let’s be clear—this wasn't about laziness. Lillard wasn’t slacking off; the man just couldn’t risk getting injured while waiting for the trade from the Portland Trail Blazers to go through. That process dragged on longer than he probably expected, and he landed in Milwaukee just days before training camp. That didn’t leave him much time to get his body right or build any real chemistry with his new teammates.

And while Lillard still made the All-Star cut, anyone watching closely could see his play was a little off from what we're used to despite averaging 31.3 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game.

But here’s the thing—Lillard isn’t one to let that slide. Fast forward to this offseason, and the 8x all-star is on a mission to be in the best shape possible for his second season with the Bucks. He’s been grinding all summer long, sharing clips of his intense workouts. And recently, one of those workouts caught everyone’s attention, thanks to a special guest.

Yeah, Lillard’s been training with none other than David Goggins.

If you know Goggins, you know this isn’t your average run-of-the-mill workout. Goggins, the Navy SEAL, ultramarathon runner, and all-around conditioning beast, took Lillard through a workout that was anything but easy.

Lillard even shared it on Instagram with the caption, “If you always do what you’ve always done… you’ll always be where you’ve always been. Much love and respect @ David Goggins.”

Now, if you’re a Bucks fan, this is the kind of thing that should have you fired up. Lillard’s taking no shortcuts here.

He’s heard the chatter, all the noise surrounding him and the aging Bucks roster, and he’s clearly out to shut it all down in the upcoming season. And with Goggins pushing him to his absolute limits, you can bet Lillard’s conditioning is going to be at a different level when the new season tips off.

Looking ahead, with Lillard getting back in top shape, a healthy Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton fresh off surgery, and a retooled supporting cast, the Bucks aren’t just sitting back—they’re gunning to prove they’re still a potential title contender in 2024-25.
