Former Jets Star Blasts Fans Who Believe Aaron Rodgers Is Washed Up

Aaron Rodgers is gearing up for his 20th year in the NFL, and he's trying to make a triumphant return to action for the New York Jets after suffering a torn Achilles in their first game of the 2023 campaign.

What Rodgers is attempting to do isn't easy, and it's safe to say that there are quite a few fans out there who don't have much faith in his ability to lead the Jets on a championship run this season.

That's a narrative former Jets linebacker Bart Scott isn't a fan of, and he stepped in to defend the legendary quarterback. Scott openly asked if there were actually five quarterbacks in the league who are better than Rodgers, while also stating that the talented passer looked great when he showed up to watch the team practice.

There's no doubt that Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, but attempting to comeback from a torn Achilles at the age of 40 is easier said than done.

Still, the Jets have a bevy of playmakers surrounding Rodgers, such as Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Mike Williams, so if he can play up to his usual level, chances are New York will make some noise.

Scott clearly has faith in Rodgers, and it will be interesting to see how he fares in his return to action for the Jets.
