Best NBA 2K Knicks Player of 21st Century

Jalen Brunson's 2024 postseason performance inspired New York Knicks fans. The Villanova alum accomplished a feat not since tapped since 1993 Michael Jordan with the Chicago Bulls. Brunson scored 40 or more points in four consecutive games. Channeling your inner Jordan will catch NBA 2K's attention, as the NBA legend is a two-time cover athlete. The Knicks All-Star earned quite the upgrade in NBA 2K25.

In NBA 2K24, Brunson started the season with an 88 overall rating. However, thanks to the magical 2023-24 season, during which he led the Knicks to the two-seed in the Eastern Conference and notched his seventh 40-point game in the 2024 playoffs, NBA 2K25 begins with the All-Star rated 93 overall.

Brunson falls in the top 20, tied with Devin Booker and Anthony Edwards, but somehow, NBA 2K ranks the New York point guard at No. 13.

Nonetheless, Brunson's rank earns him higher status than players such as Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, Kyrie Irving, and Kawhi Leonard.

It's fair for Brunson to rank higher than Irving and Leonard, as the Knicks' point guard earned All-Star status in addition to the aforementioned 40-point stretch, and the Los Angeles Clippers star finished the playoffs injured.

Still, ranking higher than Brown, who earned two significant accolades over the Knicks start that also fell to the six-seed in the Eastern Conference semifinals, at home no less, makes for a questionable rating. Ultimately, though there is only a one-point difference, such a rating changes periodically through the NBA 2K rating team.
