Chennedy Carter was so close to getting ejected during Friday's showdown between the Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun following her second hard foul of the game.

At the start of the third quarter, Carter was called for a foul on DiJonai Carrington after the Sky star appeared to deck the Sun guard, causing her to fall to the floor. Play was stopped after that as the referees reviewed the foul to decide whether or not it should be upgraded to a flagrant.

Carter already had one flagrant foul in the game after she smacked former teammate Marina Mabrey in the face late in the opening quarter. With that said, another flagrant ruling would have resulted in her being thrown out of the contest.

Fortunately for Carter, the hit was ruled a common foul and she was not ejected.

Sure enough, some Suns fans were not happy with the decision, especially since it was already the second hard foul from Chennedy Carter in the game.

" Foul out of the gate against Carter on Carrington is ruled a common foul after, Sun crowd not happy about that after the flagrant earlier!" a viewer noted.

"Chennedy Carter hip checks Dijon Ai Carrington! Common foul.. " a frustrated Sun fan shared.

It's certainly a bad look for Carter, and it doesn't help with her reputation. Many fans already deem her as a dirty player because of her shoulder-check on Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark earlier in the season. Now, she's facing another wave of backlash because of her highly physical acts.
