Countdown to Haason Reddick: Jets Remain in Driver's Seat

Haason Reddick continues to be a member of the New York Jets only by contract. He has yet to actually take the field in Gang Green's new logo and uniform since being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles in April.

While his over 30-day holdout has continued through training camp entirely with no end in sight, there are plenty of fans and analysts concerned about the time it would take Reddick's contract situation to not only smooth over but also to have him ready for the start of the season.

Just because his holdout continues to loom over, though, the Jets remain steadfast in their belief that Reddick's absence wasn't an issue.

"I don't know,'' Saleh said. "I haven't really thought about it."

Most contract holdouts that extend past training camp usually conclude at the beginning of September before the games actually begin.

In that regard, the Jets have another two weeks to prepare themselves for an offer that would make Reddick want to join them for the 2024 season. That would also mean that the former Eagle would need to show up at the team's facility of course.

Reddick and the Jets may seem like at an impasse right now, but that doesn't mean that will continue into September, though.
