Bucs Preseason Week 3: Antonio Grier Snags INT, Seals Victory Over Dolphins

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers slotted in their starters for the only time this preseason against the Miami Dolphins on Friday evening. Baker Mayfield , Rachaad White, and others got their first run in Liam Coen's system.

Tampa Bay's starting offense certainly got their shine and performed well in limited time, but the Bucs' defense touted its own strong demonstrations at various spots. Some of those standouts came from players looking to leave their mark in their final preseason game.

Antonio Grier represented that group and left a memorable final impression on the Tampa Bay coaching staff, jumping a pass and intercepting Miami quarterback Skylar Thompson late in the fourth quarter of the Bucs' win.

But Grier got the job done beyond his highlight turnover. He tallied seven total tackles, good for second-most among Bucs in the game.

Tampa Bay's first-team defense and reserves who saw action had a solid all-around showing, allowing 14 points to the Dolphins' offense.

The Bucs and their coaching staff will now enter the hardest part of the preseason and begin making cuts. For those players like Grier deep on the depth chart, the hope remains to showcase well in the preseason for potential opportunities elsewhere.
