Wisconsin Badgers Football: The 3 Most-Improved Positions Headed Into 2024

Wisconsin Badgers football is less than one week away. After a disappointing 2023 campaign, fans of the Cardinal and White are looking for reasons to be optimistic heading into year two of the Luke Fickell regime.

While UW's roster remains far from perfect, its coaching staff was hard at work in the offseason making improvements. With plug-and-play additions via the transfer portal and even some true freshmen ready to play right away, Wisconsin re-tooled at some positions more quickly than others.

Are the Badgers primed to bounce back in a big way after falling short of lofty expectations in 2023? If it happens, those transfer portal additions, like former Oklahoma running back Tawee Walker, will have to step into more prominent roles than they have filled at previous stops. Those true freshmen will be physically tested against College Football Playoff hopefuls Oregon, Alabama, and Penn State.
