    Desmond Howard Predicts Inaugural 12-Team College Football Playoff

    The first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff has arrived, sparking early predictions for the playoff contenders.

    On Saturday's "College GameDay," the crew made their predictions for this season's new playoff format. ESPN's Desmond Howard predicted that the Oregon Ducks would win the Big Ten, the Georgia Bulldogs would win the SEC, the Miami Hurricanes would win the ACC and the Utah Utes would win the Big 12. He also predicted that the Liberty Flames would represent the Group of Five.

    Here is how Howard had it seeded:

    1. Oregon Ducks
    2. Georgia Bulldogs
    3. Miami Hurricanes
    4. Utah Utes
    5. Texas Longhorns
    6. Ole Miss Rebels
    7. Ohio State
    8. Michigan Wolverines
    9. Oklahoma Sooners
    10. Clemson
    11. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
    12. Liberty Flames

    Howard also revealed that his two teams that just missed the cut are the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He also has three teams that would win the conference they are currently in for the first time ever, including two conference newcomers: Utah and Oregon.

    Now, we will see how many teams Howard correctly predicts by the end of the season.
