It may be called fantasy football, but sometimes it can be as dangerous as the real thing.

That is if you take it as seriously as ESPN's NFL analyst Field Yates, of course.

Earlier this week, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Yates, who is one of the lead fantasy football analysts for the company, dislocated his shoulder during an event that was put on to decide the draft order for his league.

Schefter reported that the injury took place on a beach down in the Bahamas, and resulted in a brief hospitalization for Yates for the injury. The prognosis is that Yates will recover from the injury and be ready for the start of the season.

After the injury was announced, Schefter released a video of the injury, where it appears that Yates was taking down a tackling dummy on the beach before landing wrong on his shoulder.

While everyone was celebrating around him, Yates immediately knew that something was wrong, and tried to walk it off. The situation immediately became more serious, as Yates had to exit to seek medical attention.

It may not be a football injury, per say, but it's a serious injury nonetheless. It also gives us all a good reminder that football, whether fantasy or real, is a serious sport that needs to be treated as such.
