When it comes to the College Football Playoff, Nick Saban is no stranger.

This is especially true during his legendary tenure with the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. He coached the team to BCS and AP national championships in 2009, 2011, and 2012, and to College Football Playoff championships in 2015, 2017, and 2020.

In the CFP, he finished his coaching career with a 9-5 record, demonstrating how his time in the sport confirmed his place as arguably the greatest to ever do it.

Now enjoying retirement, he gets to watch Alabama from his seat as they look to continue their winning ways under Kalen DeBoer, Saban's replacement.

On ESPN's College Gameday show, the crew showcased their predictions on who will make the CFP under the new 12-team format. Nick Saban revealed his bracket as well, and it shows Alabama playing in the first round.

According to Saban, Alabama will be placed at the seventh seed, taking on Notre Dame, who will be the 10th seed. If they hypothetically won that matchup, they would go on to face the ACC's Florida State Seminoles, the two seed, in the quarterfinals.

If Saban showcased a more biased side, he could have placed the team higher, maybe with a first-round bye to the quarterfinals. Despite his strong loyalty, he remained realistic about their chances as they hope to be successful under DeBoer.

Alabama will seek a strong start to a new era without Saban when they host Western Kentucky on Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. CT.
