    By Max Escarpio,

The newest member of the "College GameDay" crew, Nick Saban, has officially dropped his prediction for the 12-team College Football Playoff.

After spending 17 years as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide and 26 seasons as a head coach at the collegiate level, Saban is now an analyst for ESPN.

He's been able to bring a different level of expertise to the panel, in a coach who competed at the highest level and ushered his team in the NIL and transfer portal landscape.

While speaking about the current state of college football on Saturday's "College GameDay" show, Saban shared his prediction for the first 12-team playoff.

He's picking the Georgia Bulldogs to take home the National Title while selecting the Utah Utes, Florida State Seminoles, and Ohio State Buckeyes to have the first-round BYE.

In the first round of the College Football Playoff, Saban had some interesting choices.

He plugged in Alabama at the No. 7 seed, having confidence in first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer. Saban also included a few other SEC programs in the mix, like the Texas Longhorns at No. 5, Ole Miss at No. 8, and the LSU Tigers at No. 11.

Nick Saban is also picking the Oregon Ducks to punch their ticket to the playoff in their first year in the Big Ten.

A few of his other selections include the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, playing in the first round as an independent, and the Liberty Flames winning the Conference USA to snag the final seed at No. 12.
