The Cleveland Browns will play a preseason game on Saturday ... but as they will be on the road at Lumen Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks, they will not have Deshaun Watson at their disposal.

Coach Kevin Stefanski revealed on Tuesday that the starters "should expect" to see the field Saturday.

"We'll determine who does or doesn't, how many plays they do," Stefanski said. "In particular with Deshaun, I want to take in all the information this week and really make a final determination later in the week."

While Stefanski did indicate that he is preparing his starters to play on Saturday, there are still plenty of questions regarding the status of starting quarterback Watson. Coming off last season's shoulder injury, Watson was a limited participant in practice Wednesday due to arm soreness.

By Thursday, Watson was supposedly practicing normally. And yet now comes the decision: He's sitting.

Despite Stefanski stating after practice that he isn't "overly concerned" about Watson's soreness - so Watson is OK, right? - the coach did stick by his wait-and-see approach about whether his quarterback will take the field Saturday for the first time since last season. ... Which made the decision of whether Watson plays one of the biggest storyline to watch on Saturday.

After an offseason full of questions about whether he could return to the level of play he exhibited with the Houston Texans, Week 1 of the regular season against the Dallas Cowboys will now be the first chance he has to prove his doubters wrong.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks are expected to play their starters, which means that if everything goes according to plan, fans can anticipate seeing a regular-season matchup—at least for a few drives.

Kickoff inside Lumen Field is scheduled for 10 p.m. EST, and the Browns will look to notch their first win of the preseason.
