GameDay Panel Tabs Georgia, Oregon Ducks for Deep Playoff Run

Broadcasting live from Dublin, Ireland the ESPN GameDay crew dissected the College Football Playoff race for 2024, and two of them picked Oregon to win the national title.

Desmond Howard named the Ducks to win the first 12-team playoff, as did Ohio State grad Kirk Herbstreit. Nick Saban, employing the reverse rat poison, named Georgia, as did Pat McAfee. Guest picker Sheamus, a WWE star from Ireland, patriotically picked the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

None of the panelists suffered the embarrassment of picking Florida State, although the Seminole fans in the audience were goading Herbstreit by booing him every time he spoke.
