Kirk Herbstreit's Response To Florida State's Loss Is Going Viral

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit was the talk of the town after the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles fell to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

The Seminoles were defeated by a game-winning field goal, dropping their first game of the season 24-21.

After the loss for the Noles, Herbstreit's name was all over social media since the ESPN analyst has been tied in with the program throughout the entire offseason.

The Seminoles were left out of the College Football Playoff last season despite having a 13-0 record, and Herbstreit was vocal about his agreeance with their CFP snub.

He became the most hated man in Tallahassee for a couple of months, and now, Herbstreit's name is back in the mix.

Herbstreit posted a quick reply to the Noles' loss on X, and it instantly went viral. He currently has over 600 retweets and 400k views 15 minutes into the post.

The longtime "College GameDay" analyst showed high praise for the Yellow Jackets while mentioning that the brutal blow for FSU doesn't halt them from a playoff opportunity.

"Man, tough loss for the Noles over in Ireland to a good GT team," Herbstreit said "The great news is with the new 12 team playoff, there’s still plenty of opportunities to climb back into the bracket. Regroup and keep battling!"

The Seminoles are now 0-1, with their eyes set on the Boston College Eagles in Week 1. After they return to Florida's capitol and "regroup," as Herbstreit explained, Florida State has the chance to bounce back in conference play.

It's unknown whether or not Herbstreit's comment took a subtle shot at the Seminoles or if it was a genuine response to the loss for a Top 10 team.

Nevertheless, FSU will likely plummet in the rankings, with a shocker in college football's first game of the 2024-25 season.
