The college football season began with a bang as the 10th-ranked team in the nation suffered an upset. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets surprised the 10th-ranked Florida State Seminoles by winning 24-21 on a walk-off field goal.

"College GameDay" was in Dublin, Ireland, for the Week 0 matchup. The special guest picker was Ireland native Stephen Farrelly, better known as Sheamus from the WWE. The Yellow Jackets X account (formerly known as Twitter) seized the opportunity to mock the ESPN "College GameDay" crew.

The Yellow Jackets shared a screenshot of every College GameDay member, except for Sheamus, picking the Seminoles to win the game. Georgia Tech tweeted, "We'd like to thank Sheamus," and tagged the WWE superstar.

The Seminoles' surprising upset was also historic. It marked only the second time in program history that they had lost a season opener as a top-10-ranked team against an unranked team. According to ESPN's Pete Thamel , they now have a 17-2 record in such games, with the other loss occurring in 1989 to a Southern Mississippi team led by Brett Favre.

The Seminoles hope to emulate the 1989 team's comeback. After losing to Southern Miss and the Clemson Tigers the following week, Florida State won 10 consecutive games, finishing 10-2 and ranking No. 3 in the country.

The Seminoles hope to do that with a win in their next game against Boston College on Monday, Sept. 2. As for Georgia Tech, the Yellow Jackets will play next against Georgia State on Saturday, Aug. 31.
