The No. 10 Florida State Seminoles fell to the Georgia Yellow Jackets on Saturday in the first game of the college football season.

Following the loss, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit was trending on social media. He was the No. 1 person on X's trending tab since the longtime "College GameDay" analyst has been connected with the Noles for much of the past year.

Florida State dropped to the GT in a 24-21 loss. The Seminole's offense was struggling for all four quarters, and their defense was beaten down by the Yellow Jackets' run game.

Mike Norvell and the Seminoles are now 0-1 on the year after playing in their first regular season game since the College Football Playoff fiasco in 2023.

Herbstreit's backstory with the Noles dates back to the 2023-24 season when Florida State was snubbed from the College Football Playoff despite being ACC champions and ended the year 13-0 before their bowl game loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.

ESPN's college football guru sided with the committee, explaining why Florida State should have been left out of the College Football Playoff, and he's been public enemy No. 1 ever since that take.

The "College GameDay" member was all over social media after the Seminoles' loss, with hundreds of mixed reactions to a Top 10 team falling on day one of college football.
