Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson was emotional after Friday night's 80-74 loss to the Washington Mystics, and fans took to social media to sympathize with her.

The Sparks haven't had the season they hoped for, now sitting at 6-23, but their spirits were high going into halftime. They were leading by three points at the break, and Jackson had one of the best performances of her rookie year so far, scoring 16 points. However, in the second half, she scored one point thanks only taking three shots.

In a video posted to X, formerly Twitter, Jackson is caught sitting on the bench with her hands on her head. She appears to be frustrated with the Sparks' performance, as they led for much of the game but could not seal the deal in the fourth quarter.

The video was tough for fans to watch, with reactions pouring in on social media after seeing the viral video, which already has over 232,000 views in just over 2 hours.

One said, "I hate seeing her like this 💔. next year will be better hang in there rickea."

"She's still a star. 1 game won't define your career," another stated.

"No no no I hate this for her."

While Caitlin Clark of Indiana and Angel Reese of Chicago lead the league in rookie scoring, Jackson is a close third. In 2024, she's averaging 11.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

Jackson and the Sparks will look to snap their six-game losing streak on Sunday afternoon when they head to Dallas to face the Wings.

After the Sparks had two top-four picks in the 2024 WNBA draft, they currently sit at the bottom of the Western Conference. One of those picks was Jackson, who was drafted fourth, and the other was Cameron Brink, drafted second, who was lost for the season due to an ACL injury.

Jackson played college basketball at Mississippi State before finishing her career at Tennessee. She earned All-SEC honors three times during her years at the collegiate level.
