The Chicago Cubs are playing much better baseball as of late. They have solely moved into second place in the National League Central and will look to continue to creep closer to the final spot in the wildcard race. In order to do so, they will look to complete the sweep against the Miami Marlins on Sunday.

Sunday, August 25th: Javier Assad vs. Adam Oller

The Cubs will go with Javier Assad (6-3, 3.11) for the series finale on Sunday. Assad is coming off one of his better starts since his return from the injured list in mid-July with a win over the Detroit Tigers. He went 5.2 innings and only allowed one run on six hits. The 27 year old fanned seven Tigers and only walked one in the outing. It was the lowest walks allowed in an outing all month.

The Marlins will start Adam Oller (0-1, 9.64) for the second time this season. In his season debut against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Oller struggled as he allowed five runs to score on three hits, including two home runs across 4.2 innings of work. He also walked four batters.
