F1 News: Max Verstappen's Hilarious Morning Mishap with WADA at Dutch GP [Video]

Max Verstappen was not pleased when the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) knocked on his door at 7 a.m. ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix weekend. The early wake-up call was part of a routine doping test, which is standard for athletes across all sports, including Formula 1.

Verstappen's annoyance was evident as he shared his experience of being abruptly awakened by the doorbell. WADA typically conducts these tests early in the morning to ensure accurate urine samples, as athletes are less likely to be dehydrated at that time. This surprise testing is designed to uphold anti-doping regulations and can happen without prior notice.

The timing of the test likely disrupted Verstappen's usual routine, especially given his tendency for late-night sim racing sessions. As a result, he was reportedly in a less-than-ideal mood when he arrived at the Red Bull garage.

Despite the early inconvenience, Verstappen managed to secure a spot on the front row for the race, finishing second in qualifying. However, he expressed concerns about the balance of his car during the session, noting that it felt inconsistent and challenging to drive.

Meanwhile, Lando Norris from McLaren took pole position, showcasing impressive speed ahead of the race. As the weekend unfolds, all eyes will be on how Verstappen performs, especially after a rocky start to his day.
