The San Francisco 49ers are facing tough decisions as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season. With just two weeks to go before kickoff, the team is considering potential trades to reshape their roster.

Recent discussions via Logan Ulrich of NFL Trade Rumors have highlighted wide receivers Danny Gray and Ronnie Bell as candidates for trade. The 49ers have a deep receiving corps, especially if they decide to keep Brandon Aiyuk. Bell, a seventh-round pick last year, has impressed by playing all 17 games and scoring three touchdowns. However, with the team's depth at the position, he may be expendable.

"49ers WR Danny Gray, (Miami Dolphins) WR Erik Ezukanma, (Baltimore Ravens) WR Malik Cunningham, 49ers WR Ronnie Bell, (New York Giants) WR Isaiah Hodgins, (and) (Tennessee Titans) WR Kyle Phillips," Ulrich said. "Bell has so far exceeded expectations as a seventh-round pick, making the team last year as a rookie, playing all 17 games and scoring three touchdowns. But the 49ers are just too deep at receiver, especially if they end up holding onto Aiyuk. Bell has special teams experience and just does a lot of things at a solid level.

"Hodgins had a nice late-season run in 2022 but faded back into obscurity last year and looks like a roster longshot. A team looking for a possession wideout could be interested, even if just on waivers."

As the 49ers finalize their roster, keep an eye on any developments regarding trades or cuts. The next two weeks will be crucial for the team as they look to optimize their lineup before the season begins.
