Logan Sargeant has provided an update on his health following a serious crash during the third practice session at Zandvoort, just before qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix . The Williams driver lost control of his car after veering onto the grass at Turn 4, resulting in a significant crash that caused extensive damage to his FW45 and brought the session to a halt.

Sargeant's car became airborne and landed heavily, briefly catching fire. Fortunately, track marshals quickly extinguished the flames, and Sargeant was able to exit the vehicle without assistance. Medical personnel checked him, and he reported only minor bruises.

Despite the physical injuries being minimal, Sargeant acknowledged the psychological impact of the incident. He expressed his disappointment over the crash and took responsibility for the mistake that led to it.

"I feel okay, a little bit sore, but I'm alright," Sargeant said. "Mentally, obviously, it's a huge blow."

"Well, what happened is exactly what I thought happened. I just touched the kerb, and I didn't want to pull the car off of that too quickly to avoid what ended up happening. But the second I touched the grass, that was it, so I needed to pull it off a little before the grass."

Due to the damage sustained, Sargeant will start the upcoming race from the pit lane. He remains optimistic about his chances, emphasizing the need to move forward and focus on the race ahead.

"It is what it is. I just need to get on with it. It's my mistake, I'll take that. It was a small mistake with a big consequence. But most importantly, I'm okay and that the car can get fixed up. We're obviously on the back foot, but see what we can do tomorrow, you never know what can happen."

The situation worsened for Williams as teammate Alex Albon was disqualified from qualifying after his car's floor was found to be outside the FIA's regulatory limits. The team is currently investigating the matter and plans to provide further updates soon.
