Hailey Van Lith's First Pitch At Mariners Game Sparks Viral Buzz

3x3 Olympic medalist Hailey Van Lith captured attention after throwing out the first pitch at the Seattle Mariners game on Sunday.

Van Lith, who is from Washington, maintained a silver medal at the Paris Olympics in the 3x3 women's basketball tournament and got the respect she rightfully deserves in Seattle, throwing the first pitch to Mariners star Julio Rodriguez .

The pitch was crisp. She looked like she's been there and done that before. Rodriguez hardly had to move his glove, and the Mariners announcer said it best.

"That was better than 98.9% first pitches by NBA and NFL players."

The video that the MLB posted on X surpassed over 205,000 views in just over an hour of being posted.

However, outside of her accomplishments in Paris, Van Lith is currently en route to Texas to play for the University of TCU next season in her fifth and final year of eligibility, after spending last season playing next to Angel Reese on the LSU Tigers .

She started her college career at Louisville , where she had plenty of success and spent three seasons with the Cardinals. She led them to the final four during her freshman year. Now, with one year left, she looks to do the same for TCU.
