Should Eagles Bring Back and Sign Boston Scott?

The City of Philadelphia and its sports fans were devastated when they realized veteran running back Boston Scott would not be returning to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024.

Nicknamed the "Giant Killer" due to his dominance against Philadelphia's top rival in the NFC East, Scott was released by the Los Angeles Rams Sunday afternoon.

Could the Eagles look to bring Scott back in a short deal overall?

It's hard to assume where the Eagles could go as the team's fourth overall running back. Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley, and Kenneth Gainwell are all locks to make the 53-man roster for the Birds, but the fourth running back is not a guaranteed role that the team would want.

After all, when it comes to the Eagles roster, a final roster spot could be decided to be used at the cornerback or offensive line roles beforehand.

In that regard, there simply wouldn't be any room for Scott to return.

A big part of the Eagles' dominance in the NFC East, though, has come due to their dominance over the New York Giants. If Philadelphia wants to continue that, moving away from Scott - a player who has been extremely successful against that team - probably doesn't make the most sense.
